By intramuscular or slow intravenous injection, acute spasm and spasm in diagnostic procedures, 20mg repeated after 30 minutes if necessary (may be repeated more frequently in endoscopy).

Notes:

The oral formulation of hyoscine butylbromide is poorly absorbed and therefore is not recommended.
