Formulation and dosage details

Formulation:

Vaginal tablets 10 micrograms

Dosage:

Insert 1 vaginal tablet daily for 2 weeks then reduce to 1 tablet twice weekly. 

  • Vagirux has resuable applicators, reducing the amount of plastic waste.  
  • The applicators may not suitable for those with manual dexterity in which case Vagifem may be preferred.

Vaginal ring (Estring®)  as estradiol hemihydrate 7.5 micrograms/24 hours

Dosage:

May be used long-term; systemic absorption is minimal.
